Release notes
This is probably the earliest possible UK variant, with Copyright Control publishing, A3 on label as “You’ve Been” (later corrected to “You Been”), and B3 writing credit to Stewart (later corrected to Stewart/M. Quittenton). This is corrected on all subsequent releases.
Original UK release in matt portrait-style double gatefold cover, on black/silver Mercury labels.
This album has a ‘Unipak’-style double gatefold cover [however, disc access from the top outside] with only one card layer for the front and rear lap.
Poly-lined ‘Plastic Bags Can Be Dangerous’ standard inner sleeve with ‘British Patent No. 800513 & 973939’ and ‘Made In England HMO 0772 30’.
℗ 1972 Mercury Record Productions, Inc.
Side A label has publishing credits on two lines.
Side B label has publishing credits on four lines.
A3 appears on cover as “Mama You Been On My Mind”, but as “Mama You’ve Been On My Mind” on label.
B3 writing credit for R. Stewart - M. Quittenton on cover, but for Stewart only on label.
B5 writing credit for S. Cook on cover, but for Cooke on label.
